After four years of working with Marks and Spencer unofficially, EC1 have once again joined the Pre-Press Partnership. Working on a couple of Plan A, high profile launches, helped show the experience and abilities within the company.
The first was not so much a license product but we were working with one of the world’s best known confectionery companies, Jelly Belly®. Again due to time constraints this was a fast turn-around and so meant EC1 working closely with the supplier and the printer in America. The project has been so successful in sales that a new line is being worked on for release in 2008.
Artisan Chocolates were then requested as they needed to be worked on with full concentration and deviation from any other M&S lines – therefore EC1 was the company that was chosen and again we worked closely with the supplier, a Kent based company that produces the hand made chocolates.
All packaging was made from 50% recycled material (where possible) and was all recyclable material. This is a big drive for M&S in the coming years and so this project was of huge importance to their green credentials, Plan A and our environment.
